THE SPIRAL FOUNDATION MISSION STATEMENT

Promote and/or participate in Humanitarian Projects, primarily in the sector of Human Resources Enhancement for the benefit of individuals, groups of people and / or organizations in Economically Developing Countries, providing financial, technical, professional and managerial assistance.

Among the Human Resources Enhancement projects, the Foundation shall give first priority to those projects aimed at the promotion of literacy, the basic education and vocational training of disadvantaged youth, especially youth of rural communities, ethnic minorities and women in special circumstances.

The Foundation shall cooperate and/or support other non-profit organizations and non-government organizations in the effort to promote projects in the Human Resources Enhancement sector.

For the purpose of achieving its purposes the Foundation may create in the beneficiary countries operations that will carry its name and will be guided by the same set of operation principles.

The Foundation shall pursue projects that will address a consciousness towards sustainable world equanimity and human development by assisting committed individuals, groups of people or organizations that will in turn contribute to their own communities with financial and intellectual leadership in a measure consistent with the received benefits upon completion of the project. For this purpose, vocational training projects will be promoted with the goal of renewing awareness of the cultural heritage, regenerate skills and know-how that may be on the verge of extinction. Projects supported shall provide a sense of pride in human talents and traditions and generate a self-sustaining, renewed economic process.

For the purpose of self-financing, the Foundation shall pursue any kind of legal means, including production, trade, fund raising, donations, etc. provided that full respect of the various United Nations approved charters of human respect shall be followed. Funding for the Foundation sponsored projects may also be generated by fair-trade of handcrafted items produced by the beneficiaries of the promoted projects.

For the purpose of advertising its own financial resources the foundation will compile, approve and put to use a set of operational procedures that will state its organization, technical and financial project management, administrative and financial project management, administrative and financing procedures. The Executive Officers, and members of the Board of Directors shall be non-salary volunteers. Staff members may be salaried.
